Left one is a double swatch and the right one is single swatch. A single swipe is more than sufficient to cover any lip color. It’s described as a deep berry color by MAC, but being a burnt maroon color, it is suitable for all types of lip shapes and colors. Pigmentation: Hang-Up scores 5 out of 5 in case of pigmentation. I haven’t been part of the company for more than a year now and although I did re-apply to work there between the first and the second lockdown here in London. When I first opened it, it smelt like regular MAC lipsticks, mine smells a little funky now, maybe it is time to chuck it out. I’ve always loved MAC, from the moment I first laid eyes on their lipsticks to the last minute I spent working for the brand. There is a reminder in my head that I am wearing a lipstick. Even with so many benefits, I find it a little heavy on my lips. It will act as a lip balm and color enhancer both. The best part is that you can use it on dry and chapped lips as well. People who have excess lip lines can try this. The application is pretty smooth and even. Hang Up was about the only one that looked nice - i was in love then and i still am now. Nor did Rebel or any of the other plum-ish shades MAC did. It transfers slightly once or twice initially only. I picked up the shade Hang up last A/W as of course plum lipsticks were so in and i had to have one I originally had my eye on Prince Noir but upon trying it on it did not suit me whatsoever. Many creamy lipsticks are highly transferable, but that’s not the case with Hang Up. “Hang Up” gives you a light sheen on your lips. MAC In Synch Lip Pencil is still in stock on the MAC website, I managed to pick mine up in my local store, so it’s not too difficult to get your hands on and it’s priced in line with their other liners at £10.50.Texture: As the name suggests, it is pretty creamy in texture. Another beaut of a combo I’ve found is it layered with the Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Orange Tulip over the top – nudey, pink, peach lip perfection! The matte texture makes it super long-lasting, I’d say about 5 hours or so of wear but can make it a little drying, so in the photo above I’m wearing it with a touch of By Terry Baume de Rose dabbed over the top. It slightly nudes out the natural shade of my lips but doesn’t leave them too pale, meaning that I can wear it on it’s on or with a gloss or lipstick layer over the top.
Available in a wide selection of colours that each work well with many different lipstick shades. Our Lip Pencils have a smooth, creamy texture that is perfect for outlining lips or colouring them in. So In Synch is exactly what I was looking for – a creamy baby pink with a hint of peach. A lip liner designed for shaping, lining or filling in the lip. I always find that lip pencils, especially those on the highstreet come in very dark shades, so it’s hard to come by a nuded pink one. Now the Beth Ditto release still isn’t really my style, lots of bright, out-there shades and a blush compact inspired by Mr Blobby but it did contain a regular re-release that I am always tempted to purchase whenever it comes out – In Synch Lip Pencil. But it’s been months since a collection really made me listen up.
I haven’t posted about MAC products for a long while now in all honesty I just am no longer enthralled by their monthly releases like I used to be – yes, I was that person who hovered outside MAC until opening time on the first Thursday of every month (little tip for you there MAC lovers) to be the first to feast my eyes on the new stuff.
